90 degrees out!
The past few days have been in the 90's where I live. I could live in highwaisted shorts and bandeaus all day. I hope you guys are enjoying your summer. I can't wait to go to Los Angelos and New York but that won't happen until the end of summer.

Weekly Thrift Finds #3
For Mother's Day, I took my mom thrifting. She loves thrifiting as much as I do, maybe even more. She was the one who introduce it to me when I was younger. And if you think I'm good at thrifting, wait until you meet my mom. She's a master thrifter! I was actually begging her to leave Goodwill after an hour or so, and she still wanted to stay. Anyways, here are my finds from last weekend. I love love love all the vintage blouses I found. I also finally found colored high waisted jean shorts, yellow and forest green. There were a couple of other items, like a dress and a few other blouses, but I have no time to take pictures. It's been pretty hetic with school and my home purchase. I'm going to be closing in two weeks! Crazy! I have a busy weekend ahead of me, so I won't be able to blog any DIY or thrifting post until next weekend. Once I get settle in, there will be tons of exciting post, I promise! Also, due to high demands about buying my thrifting items, I have decided to open my own vintage shop. It has always been a dream of mine. So, now I will have two online stores that I have to managed. =) Stay tune for more information. Have a great memorial weekend!
There is still time to enter the giveaway! See the post below for instructions.

Weekly Thrift Finds #2
So sorry for the late post. I have been sick, the last few days. Anyways, here are few of my thrifting finds from last week. I didn't get to go thrfting as much, due to being sick, but I was still happy with all my finds. First off, I bought 4 vintage dresses. They were only $2 each so I couldn't resist. I do plan to alter them a little, so I'm going to save them to show you in my next post. My mom is going to give me her old sewing machine and teach me how to use it. Hopefully it will all go well. I will make sure to show before and after pictures. In the meantime, here is a little teaser =)
Up next, I found three pair of shoes from Target that were at Goodwill for only $3.99 each. I think Target donates some of their things when they can't sell it, since they need to make room for new inventory. The weird thing is that one of the boots is still for sale on their website for $29.99. So, basically I was able to save tons of money on three brand new shoes!
I was so happy to purchase the black wedge boots in the middle. I have been wanting to get them all winter season but didn't want to pay 30 bucks for them. The only bad part was that these are a size 5 1/2. I wear a 6 and 6 1/2 but for $3.99, I will make them fit. LOL. They are a little tight but I will deal with it.
Next, I found some gold chain necklaces and couldn't resist and bought them all. They were only $1 each. Also, I bought two pair of earrings.
Up next I have purses. I found a multi color vintage bag, a cream satchel and a mustard bag.
Last but not least are my blouses.
From left to right, another leopard blouse (can't get enough of those), a white blouse with black lining on the collar, a floral blouse, the next two blouses are just color ones that I don't have yet, and another polka dot blouse. (can't get enough of those either)
Also, today I was playing around with different outfits to wear when I'm on vacation and here is one of them:
And here is my Easter outfit.
These were pictures taken for my instagram account. If you didn't know the instagram app is now available for android users too. So, definitely go and download that app!

Sunday = Thirfting Day!
Just wanted to post a picture of my latest findings from last week. I have mention before that I do go thrifting once a week and sometimes even twice a week. I always go on Sunday and then again during the weekday. Oh and here are pictures of a recent ootd. I got the vintage blouse and trousers for only a total of $10.
Also, I am going to start selling some items in my closet that I don't need anymore. Some of them will be my thrifting finds :) Here is one of the items I'm selling. A super cute polka dot satchel bag that I have never used. It needs a new owner. Check out the link to see rules and other information. Thanks!

DIY: Sleeveless Denim Button Down Shirt
(picture via urbanoutfitters.com)
Hi all! I have seen a lot of sleeveless denim/chambray shirt for sale at Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, etc. They all range from about $15-$80. It is definitely a must have item for this summer. I am going to show you another quick, easy, and affordable DIY for this trend. This DIY will work for any button down shirt.
First, grab a sleeveless denim button down shirt. I bought mine from a local thrift store for only $2.99.
Next, turn one of the sleeve inside out.
After that, cut off a chunk of the sleeve. This way it will be easier to cut around the edges.
Then begin cutting around the outside of the seam. When I'm cutting I don't cut both sides at the same time, instead I go around in a circle.
When you are done, cut the other sleeve.
Then, you are done,
Here is how I wore it. I pair it with floral shorts and tie it up.
I hope you found this DIY helpful. I already cut the sleeves off of about 5 of my button down shirts. I have to prepare for summer =) As always, stay tune for more DIY's!

DIY: Vintage High Waisted Jean Shorts
I wanted to show you all a quick and easy way of turning high waisted jeans to shorts. It only took me 5 minutes to make these and they are perfect for the spring/summer. Here is a collage picture of what I posted on instagram. Follow the steps below to achieve this look.
Next, try them on and use a sharpie to mark how short you want it to be.
After that, start cutting away. I start from the outside and move in. You can use a ruler to help you out but for me I did it free hand.
Next, fold the cutted side over and start cutting the other side.
After that, then you are done!
I folded the edges but you can also use the scissors to snip at the thread to make them distressed. Afterwards, turn them inside out and put them in the washer. I am also going to add studs to these shorts. I just ordered some from ebay. If you would like to see that DIY please leave me a comment below. This is my first DIY post so I apologize if it wasn't clear. Feel free to ask me any questions and let me know if you think it would be better if I record my DIY. Stay tune for more DIY's. I already have two in the works =)

February Thrift Finds
I want to encourage everybody to go thrifting. You never know what you will find and the best thing is that everything is very cheap! I go thrifting once a week and sometimes even twice a week! Last Monday, since it was President's day there was a 50% off sale. I bought blouses for only 45 cents! It can be overwhelming in there, so what I usually do is make sure to calm down and take my time. I always go to the blouses section first and then move my way around. The one section I do avoid is pants. Also, you need to be open minded and take risks on certain items. I really hope that after seeing what I found, you will consider thrifting. Sure I still like to shop at Zara, Topshop, H&M and other stores but most of the time you will find similar items at the thrift store for a way cheaper price. Remember you will have to search through a lot of things, but be patient because you will find certain items that are so worth it. Make sure to bring hand sanitizer and always wash the clothes before wearing it. I have worn some of my thrifting finds in my previous posts and will continue to wear them in future posts. Please let me know if you want anymore tips or have any questions about thrifting. :) I recently join formspring, so feel free to add me. Username = seekvintage

Just wanted to quickly blog my outfit for today. I do work full-time and today is a business casual day. I decided to add some color to my outfit instead of the daily black and white. I still have two more finals left and then this weekend I am going to devote all of my time to this blog. =) Oh and clean my apartment. LOL. Have a great day!

thrifted leopard blouse, forever 21 pants & shoes, urban outfitters purse
Thank you to all of the kind words I have received from everybody. Also, YOU CAN STILL ENTER THE GIVEAWAY. Please check the first post. Anyways, as promise this is my first outfit that I'm wearing with an item that I bought from the thrift store. This is really what I am wearing to work today. I found this leopard blouse for only $2.99. It is a size large, but I like to tuck in my blouse and I can just roll up the sleeves. I apologize for the bad camera quality. I am looking to purchase a new camera this weekend. I might invest in a really nice one, since I want nice pictures for my blog. If anybody has any recommendations on camera, please let me know. Thanks!
